Hello Wildcats!

I am so glad to have you at our school! Our staff works very hard to provide a safe environment that supports academic and social growth for all of our students. Our goal for this school year is to see at least 10% growth for our students in math and language arts.

We believe that all students at Babcock should receive the very best education and in order to be able to learn; we must provide encouragement, supports, and positive community and learning environment. With our PBIS (Positive Behavior Interventions Supports) team, we define what our school wide rules, routines, and procedures are, and to teach them to all students. During the first two weeks of school at the beginning of the year, we had each class come to each of our common areas to go over these rules and routines. We have a system of “Blue Bucks” rewards where students can be rewarded when they are noticed doing the right thing. Teachers also use classroom systems to encourage and support positive behaviors. We also do monthly “Blue Rally’s” and have students from grades 3-6 in our K-Kids Leadership team.

We have many opportunities to get involved in our school, including participation on School Site Council and English Learner Advisory Committee. If you are seeking other ways to get involved, please feel free to reach out to our office staff.

 Best Regards,

Principal Myers

A Message from Ms. Sharma

Dear Parents:

I am honored to be Babcock Elementary’s Vice Principal for the 2022-2023 school year. Prior to last year I was the Vice Principal at Regency Park elementary school with Twin Rivers. Before being a Vice Principal, I held many other roles. I was a TOSA (Teacher on Special Assignment), learning coach, art integration specialist, para-educator- but most of my career was spent as a classroom teacher with North Sacramento. I taught fourth grade for most of my teaching career. I absolutely loved being a teacher, and I still enjoy being in the classroom alongside students. That is where you will find me during most of my day.

On a personal note I have two amazing boys who bring me lots of joy. We spend most of our vacation time near the beach. When I am not at work I enjoy reading, spending time with my family, dancing and working out.

I look forward to working with the amazing team at Babcock elementary.
Working together, I am confident that we will make Babcock an even better place to learn and grow.

Warmly,

Vice Principal Sharma
